Excellence in Science and Careers Education

Experience high-quality online science tutoring by a teacher with over twenty years of experience in mainstream secondary education in the UK. I am highly skilled and adept at catering to a wide range of student needs and abilities, including SEND and neurodiverse students.

About me

I am a UK qualified Science teacher.

I qualified as a Science teacher in 2000, specialising in Chemistry. I have therefore over 20 years of experience in the role. I am currently an examiner for AQA GCSE Chemistry and EDEXCEL GCSE Science. I have experience in teaching GCSE Science, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I also have some experience teaching GCSE ICT.

I have an honours degree in Pharmacology from the University of Liverpool

Throughout my teaching career I have helped thousands of students to have a better understanding of science and to achieve outstanding exam grades.

I am also a qualified school Careers Lead Teacher and have extensive experience in helping students make informed and sensible choices about their future. I have done extensive research into the choices available for ex-patriate students and how to secure University places.

I have a clear enhanced UK disclosure and barring check and have undertaken extensive safeguarding training - certificates available on request.

Online science teaching

I use tried and tested techniques to make complex scientific ideas simpler to understand and apply.

I make the ideas relevant to students by using familiar everyday examples.

I check for understanding at all stages and revisit topics at intervals to check that knowledge and understanding has been embedded.

Careers Advice

Many students struggle to make informed choices about the next step in their journey. They may not have enough information about the potential pathways open to them and what qualifications they will need in order to access these options.

I support students to make the best choices they can in order to further their career goals and advise them on ways of improving the level of employability skills that they will need.
